Why Switch?

Less Caustic Exposure
A practical advantage for your staff

Replacing a strongly caustic cleaning step with pH7X® reduces the need for staff to handle that caustic solution. Our 1% solution measured pH 8.6–8.9 in distilled water starting at pH 7.0: mildly alkaline and closer to neutral than strongly alkaline caustic cleaners.

Good handling practices remain essential. Wear suitable gloves and eye protection, follow the mixing instructions and Safety Data Sheet, and rinse equipment thoroughly before returning it to service.

Cleaning with Equipment in Mind
Routine cleaning and extended soaks

pH7X® combines oxygen-based cleaning action with a mildly alkaline working solution. It offers an alternative to strongly caustic cleaning for compatible beverage lines and equipment, with routine cleaning and extended soaking options described in the mixing instructions.

Match concentration, temperature, and contact time to the job. Confirm compatibility with your equipment manufacturer, especially for aluminum, coatings, seals, and extended soaks.

Oxygen-Based Chemistry
A more considered approach to wastewater

The peroxide component of pH7X® can break down into water and oxygen. A mildly alkaline cleaning solution also starts closer to neutral than strongly caustic solutions.

Used solution still contains other ingredients and the soils removed during cleaning. Its pH and composition vary with use. Follow the Safety Data Sheet and local disposal requirements; environmental performance depends on the complete wastewater stream.
